Ai-Media is looking for experienced speech captioners to join our growing team! The position will initially be based onsite in our Macquarie Park office; however we are looking for people who can be set up to work from their own home. You will also be trained in offline captioning (Swift).
Access Innovation Media (Ai-Media) is a social enterprise delivering access services to media, education and business clients to ensure their content is available to people with hearing and vision impairments. We provide captioning (live and pre-recorded) and audio description services.
The key responsibilities of this position are:
- Perform live captioning and pre-recorded captioning for a variety of business functions using Dragon NaturallySpeaking
- Maintain and update speech captioning profile dictionary to ensure high quality of live captions.
- Ensure all learning and knowledge is shared on real-time Company information systems
- Work together with the Ai-Media team to secure and deliver customer contracts
- Managing time to maximise achievement of agreed objectives
- Ensure all work is being conducted according to agreed work-schedule
- Undertaking training and professional development as required.
We want to hear from people who have:
- Experience in respeaking live events using speech recognition technology (Dragon NaturallySpeaking (ViaVoice/k-Live/ENPS/WinCAPS experience also valued).
- A high level of competency in data management
- Competency in MS Office and web-based applications
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a ‘live’ environment
- The ability to work well in team environments
- Desirable – offline captioning experience/ Swift
